Medea. A woman who has forgotten she has killed her children, and there is a ticking bomb to when she will remember. Her descent into madness and her coming out of it into the truth is necessary. Her waking up and entering into reality is something we know to be necessary. The Nurse, The Women, and The Chorus tiptoe around the truth, not wanting to say the wrong thing, existing in constant anxiety. They don’t talk about what happened. It feels good to care for the babies as though all is well. Until it doesn’t.

The question we explore:

can this woman's actions, with support from her community, bring forth healing, justice, and celebration?
